There’s something odd about seeing people devoid of the environment in which they exist, and John Clang demonstrates just that in his photo series, Ground Zero. As the title suggests, these photos were taken right after the disaster that was 9-11 in 2001.

“This series was taken two months after 911 around the ground zero site. By deleting the background, I’ve placed the people out of their original context. This gives me a critical reflection of our fragility, hopes and loss in this mundane urban life. A life that constantly needs evaluation.” (SOURCE)
