As someone who trawls the internet on the daily for art, you can assume how much visuals need to be sifted through and admired and what not one-way niceties. Long story short, there are as many illustrators are there are stars in the sky and my mind, naturally, is then attuned to that visual language. Then I come across Chun Kai Feng.

I had no clue as to what on earth I was looking at. But the more I ogled, the more more I got it. Everything was so carefully thought of and made. Apparently, what I was looking at were typical urban objects that get pushed to the background and ignored (also known as good and efficient design). It’s just amazing what abstraction and problematising can do: isolate an object from its environment and you think you’re looking at an alien. Crazy good idea.
