If you still don’t know, Khairullah Rahim is one of the more prolific emerging artists in Singapore as of late. I mean, come on, look at these. Breaking out of the traditional art media, he has branched into sculptural assemblage and installation, driving his practice into a very experiential direction. Don’t get us wrong though, his paintings might be simple, yet still on point.
He’s probably one of the more exciting artists exploring the subject of homosexuality, and his current series, Lingering Dwellers, probes into the context of gay cruising, based on the 1983 novel, Crystal Boys.
