We are having a very print-y day, y’all! Recent encounters have proven that PRINT ISN’T DEAD. Meet Iefa Shamsir, the creative behind Supersegak. Iefa is a printmaker devoted to the craft, using the discipline to make strong statements with bold imagery. The artist’s body of work is clearly a product of experimentation and a playful spirit — which is quite interesting as personally, I’ve always viewed printmaking as a rather inflexible craft where success is mostly guaranteed through adherence to a set of steps. We also learn here that repetition does work wonders!
